Every resident will receive a complete dental exam and yearly assessment exams after they become an established patient. This includes all soft tissue, tongue and cheek, head and neck examination. Examinations are important for diagnosis of gum disease and cancer screening.

Follow-up calls are regularly made and records are submitted to the facility staff consistently. We are now able to utilize our dental text and email messaging services and Teledentistry to immediately respond to emergency visit requests 7 days a week.

We now offer Teledentistry for consultation and basic evaluation for all our patients.

Schedule Coordinators confirm all dental visits with Social Service Directors days in advance. Visits includes initial assessments, evaluation, cancer screening, cleanings, X-ray and surgical and non-surgical dental treatments.

We send TARs to insurances and obtain Notice Of Authorizations (NOA) for recommendation within 2-6 weeks (emergency treatments such as extractions do not require authorization).

We obtain informed consent from all responsible parties and public guardians before treatments.

We request physician medical order(MO) before all surgical procedures.    

After each visit our team provide Dental Progress Notes and Full Visit Summary to SSD.

We provide post-op instructions and Rx to nursing staff following dental procedures. 

We are committed to perform multiple audits annually to ensure compliance with DHS and Dental Board guidelines. 

We provide an annual Dental In-service for nursing staff.
